Day 14 - Nov 28th, 2011

Alright.. this past holiday completely sucked. I did awful at trying to eat healthy. I wasn't in control of what was being cooked, so I know that it wasn't all cooked healthy. I tried to watch my portions however, and whenever I knew I did a no-no (deserts) I took those Fat Fighters!
My measurements for this month did not make me happy, along with my weight.. BUT it gives me more motivation to do good this week!
Today for lunch was baked tilapia, along with spinach/lettuce salad. Pretty tasty and it is nice knowing that I'm in control again and eating better. After I got the littlest kiddo to nap I did my DVD workout, and it never fails Carla kicks my butt! It was much needed though.

Day 7 - Nov 21st, 2011

Week 1 over and done!! Actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I caved a few times.. but who doesn't whenever they're trying to eat healthy?! :) So I'm proud! I haven't blogged in a few days because we were setting up and doing a huge expo here locally. Went great!
So now that the expo is over with we're getting this situated around the house and about to go on vacation to see some family for Thanksgiving. Hopefully I can stick to eating healthy even though we wont be at home!

I have to say I am truly thankful for our Fit Works community. It's so nice to get on there each day and see people who are so upbeat and excited about this challenge. It helps me be more excited to know that there are others doing this with me! I love being able to make friendships through all of this!

Here are some pictures of the yummy food I had this past week :

beef wrap - YUM! This recipe called for some chili paste which made it a bit spicy, but it was a nice spicy. Totally delicious, and was very filling as well for only 4oz of meat.


chunky monkey smoothie - peanut butter, milk, banana & our Profit powder - another YUM! My all time favorite smootie! 

Greek wraps - I made these for the whole family! We love them. My first time ever having pita bread. And totally not a tomato eater, but surprisingly I was able to eat them just fine with this! 


Shrimp pesto - pretty bland. Not sure if I messed this one up or what. There wasn't much of a sauce at all.. and it made the noodles so plain. My first time having whole wheat noodles too. Kinda upsetting. 


Stuffed French Toast - another yuck. Don't think I'll try this one again. Probably will stick to eggs & turkey bacon whenever I don't have a shake for breakfast.


Grilled Tuna & salad! I used the salad spriters with this salad because I can't eat just plain lettuce. Needless to say they're not as tasty as regular dressing.. but it'll do. 


Measurements after week 1 :  6.25 inches lost!!  5.4 lbs lost!!

Motivation

Day 2 - Nov 16th, 2011

Here we are.. day 2. Day 2 has not been good.. my household has been sick.. and this morning I woke up late, not hungry. I skipped breakfast and my snack.. and then ate lunch. I hope that doesn't mess anything up :/

For lunch I had a chicken, lettuce & spinach salad. Pretty delicious! But I've always been a salad person.. love it! Only difference now is.. no ranch dressing.. AND the salads actually keep me full longer. Benefit of all the supplements I'm taking I'm sure. I also just had a Essential bar. I've heard bad stuff about it.. but I loved it!

I can barely move my arms today after my workout last night. We have a DVD workout to do every other night.. phew. Carla kicked my butt. She is the FIT coach. BUT her abs are def enough motivation that I need! She rocks!

Good news.. I'm down 1.6 lbs from yesterday! Woot!! That's so exciting! Ready to see what is to come at the end of this week!!

Day 1 - Nov 15th, 2010

Here we go day 1!! Some may be wondering what this is, as everyone does know.. I work for It Works! (love it by the way!) and was picked to do a challenge of getting fit! Totally excited because this will help me eat and cook better along with getting in shape. The challenge will consist of 8 weeks. We're not suppose to be telling anyone about this because we're going to be presenting it at Conference in Florida in January. So this blog is just a diary for me.. and I'll show it to everyone once complete! As much as I don't want to I'm going to post my before measurements here because I KNOW I'm going to have awesome results that I can show later!

It's currently 4:45pm, so far I've had breakfast (which was late because we were up crazy late with sick kiddos so it threw me off) so I'm currently having my smoothie, and then will have dinner around 7 tonight. I'm saving my essential bar for after dinner. Not sure if that is allowed yet, but I get nightly munchies.. and well.. I'm not caving for other "snacks."

Anyways, today has been pretty good. For breakfast I had scrambled eggs (2 egg whites, 1 whole egg) turkey bacon, and 1 cup of strawberries. Was pretty yummy and filing! My smoothie, is not so tasty but I'm getting through it. In it is 1 cup of frozen cherries, 1 scoop of our protein mix, 1 cup of milk, 2 scoops of Greens & some ice.

I haven't encountered too many problems so far. I thought it'd be hard because the kids snack off and on, along with my husband. But I've been okay. It's been kind of tough having to fix food for the kids.. but my whole family isn't on this "eat healthy" kick yet.. but I'll get them all there! Water.. water is not my friend! I'm trying to work on it.. I NEVER drink water.. so if I drink 1 glass of water a day I'm doing good. However I discovered Fiji water.. and it's pretty delicious!

*update:
8:30pm had a delicious dinner! Lettuce & spinach salad with broccoli and beef tenderloin. Delicious! Used evoo dressing on the salad.. and used garlic cloves, basil & oregano to season the beef. Yum!! Now I have to wait for the kids to go to sleep so that I can do my workout! Then we're on to tomorrow!!
