Day 7 - Nov 21st, 2011

Week 1 over and done!! Actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I caved a few times.. but who doesn't whenever they're trying to eat healthy?! :) So I'm proud! I haven't blogged in a few days because we were setting up and doing a huge expo here locally. Went great!
So now that the expo is over with we're getting this situated around the house and about to go on vacation to see some family for Thanksgiving. Hopefully I can stick to eating healthy even though we wont be at home!

I have to say I am truly thankful for our Fit Works community. It's so nice to get on there each day and see people who are so upbeat and excited about this challenge. It helps me be more excited to know that there are others doing this with me! I love being able to make friendships through all of this!

Here are some pictures of the yummy food I had this past week :

beef wrap - YUM! This recipe called for some chili paste which made it a bit spicy, but it was a nice spicy. Totally delicious, and was very filling as well for only 4oz of meat.


chunky monkey smoothie - peanut butter, milk, banana & our Profit powder - another YUM! My all time favorite smootie! 

Greek wraps - I made these for the whole family! We love them. My first time ever having pita bread. And totally not a tomato eater, but surprisingly I was able to eat them just fine with this! 


Shrimp pesto - pretty bland. Not sure if I messed this one up or what. There wasn't much of a sauce at all.. and it made the noodles so plain. My first time having whole wheat noodles too. Kinda upsetting. 


Stuffed French Toast - another yuck. Don't think I'll try this one again. Probably will stick to eggs & turkey bacon whenever I don't have a shake for breakfast.


Grilled Tuna & salad! I used the salad spriters with this salad because I can't eat just plain lettuce. Needless to say they're not as tasty as regular dressing.. but it'll do. 


Measurements after week 1 :  6.25 inches lost!!  5.4 lbs lost!!

Motivation
• This week, I was proud when… I refused to be tempted by anything!

• My goal for this week was…Did you accomplish your goal? To not be tempted by "snacks" and to do my workouts! I did accomplish it! Why or why not?
• My goal for next week is… try and not be tempted at Thanksgiving.
• Did you overcome any obstacles this week? Worked through the pain of workouts!
• What did you do to overcome a lack of motivation? Wanting to see the final, awesome results!


Fitness Program
• How many days did you exercise this week? 4 Approximately how long was each workout? 30-45 minutes
• Do you find it difficult or easy to exercise? Why? Easy & difficult. Difficult on days where I was sore.
• How did the products make you feel this week? Awesome! I can't believe I never tried the Greens in a smoothie. I can't take them straight with water.
